@Ragashingo@starside.social agreed that the newer art looks a bit too cgi, but I also think that the original adaptation went a little mushy with some of the background and long shot character art (understandable considering time and budget constraints). It's strange, because as the new show was airing I was convinced I liked the older art style better, but after revisiting it briefly, the newer one feels more consistent overall ;)
