I've recently started playing the switch #pokemon games. Since I'm playing on the Switch 2, I didn't have to deal with a lot of the performance problems. I feel like Sword wasn't actually that bad. It's not looking stunning or anything, but a lot of the ugliness came from the textures getting muddy very quickly. Given that the Switch 2 has thrice the memory, a small update probably would have helped. I loved the variety of Pokemon available on the early routes, allowing early type coverage.
