One of the worst things about social media that isn't hosted on mastadon or any other anti-censorship spaces is how lonely it is. I LOVE Tumblr, it's been my favorite ever since I stopped using Amino. It gives off that same aesthetic and creative feel. But now that I'm publicly shipping Cedfia and making dark fanfictions, it's extremely lonely. I lost my online bff who I'd met through Tumblr. Nearly everyone in the SML fandom on there has me blocked despite how passionate I've been about the series since my blog's conception. I have *a* friend now so it's not too bad anymore. It just hurts regardless because feel like I've been made into a monster solely by starting to fall in love with a taboo ship and shedding the puritan beliefs I used to hold. I'm not angry at anyone for blocking me. I'm happy they chose to curate their spaces how they desire. I'm just torn up about how unbalanced it is. People who are uncomfortable with my online existence completely dominant any fandom I'm in. I hardly have anyone to speak to about what I love and I hate making people uncomfy. #vent #lonely #socialmedia
