@libertyotf@kolektiva.social Robinson Crusoe may have been free from laws or any form of concrete oppression, but not in any moral or political sense. He was not free to play football, listen to music, give blood, or debate philosophy. Freedom is not the absence of oppression here, while it happens somewhere else: it is a promise from the people around you that has to be actively kept. You have to promise to help others, and turn up for them, or you are not meaningfully free.
