@marja@mastodon.nu @feditips@mstdn.social Yes, but you can use the same handle and password if you like. You can export your followers from the old account and import them into the new account. It's all under account settings.

@marja@mastodon.nu @feditips@mstdn.social go to the new server and create an account. Under the user profile on the new account there is an option to migrate data from the old account. Follow the instructions to migrate
