#UnpopularOpinion Having or wanting a cat implies aspirational ideals wrapped in inequitable capitalism for many people. Mastodon enjoys pushing it as a common factor between users, but it's somewhat elitist or success oriented. Where success doesn't occur on a fair playing field for many. And as if the digital divide wasn't wide enough to exclude people, Mastodon picked a symbol of wealth which is as bad as any Male Gaze trophy symbol! #Inclusion
