@vik@mastodon.nzoss.nz I made this pot entirely from (and in) my small suburban garden in the UK. It's a very rewarding process. Dug the clay from the middle of a boring monoculture lawn, watered into a slurry, allow it to partially settle, skim floating organic materials, pour off suspension and retain, 1/2

@samworm@toot.community Looks like the clay has just the right amount of sand in it. Still waiting for mine to dry, it's not exactly warm at the moment! My clay is grey because I put 5% charcoal powder in so I can be gungho about setting fire to it.
