I have a vst of a mellotron that I've used on a song.
The entire idea pretty much came from reading the manual and it saying something along the lines of: "don't hold down notes for a long time because they'll go out of tune and warble strangely", so I just had it holding long chords in the background haha.

@ordosmarkzero@ravenation.club I have the Akai plugin, it's great for making folk horror film soundtracks, and the wobbliness can be dialled in.
