@jbouter@fosstodon.org @nivex@tenforward.social I can already give you the snarky answer: the ten minutes I spent trying to read through the ONE SINGLE MAN PAGE FOR ALL OF SYSTEMCTL was insufficient; instead of reaching for -f as the argument required to force it to reboot despite THE TTY THAT THE COMMAND IS ISSUED IN EXISTING, I should INSTEAD have kept reading until I finally got to the -i argument, which *only* "forces" a reboot despite the TTY!
It all makes "sense" if you're stupid enough, and your ego is tied to systemd.

@jbouter@fosstodon.org @nivex@tenforward.social and I would like to repeat, again, that the necessity of ANY additional argument is because: systemctl reboot fails BECAUSE OF THE EXISTENCE OF THE VERY TTY THAT THE COMMAND IS BEING ISSUED FROM. Jesus, fucking, CHRIST.
