"öffentlichem Eigentum" translates as "public ownership" which sounds bad in english. The government owns and controls it?? We try to be decentralized so people own their own cables and routers. We mainly use wireless but we also have to lease fiber in the street, to connect our supernodes to the data centers. You have to connect to the internet somehow and that's via IXPs and transit providers in data centers.

@mesh@mastodon.nycmesh.net @T_X@chaos.social @battlemesh@toot.aquilenet.fr In german this term can mean a lot. When we talk about "vergesellschaften", it mostly means, that you want to have some direct democratic control. People owning their infastructure, but not as individuals.
