@jamesh@aus.social yes, you’re right, a client-side version may make more sense these days & there’s almost certainly image processing libraries that would support it. For the time being the bots seem shut out. Tempted to return nonsense text just to confuse AI scrapers :-)

@barefootliam@floss.social It sucks that a website doing any non-trivial work for anonymous clients is now such a liability. It also annoying that the client side option requires a fairly different skill set to implement.
