@Deglassco@mastodon.social @notafurry@hulvr.com I didn’t say that Mastodon should change - and didn’t intend for you to think that I felt it should change.
I can, however, understand the frustration from people who have been here and built this *for* it’s specific purpose - like you- who are upset that people want something else.
It may end up that this isn’t the platform some people need, which is it’s intended goal. And it isn’t fair that people who built something to get away from that corporate controlled structure are again being undermined by that centralized corporate structure now that it’s falling apart.
There’s a sense of loss from both groups precisely because they’re needs are different and those needs are in conflict.

@GeekmomK@infosec.exchange @notafurry@hulvr.com Agreed. But there are commonalities: escaping the ever escalating grip of capricious billionaires—-the whims of capitalism and its rampant inequality. And being a part of something that always aspires to providing a home where all people’s lives and opinions and experiences are equally valued and respected. Twitter (even the niche, #BlackTwitter) wasn’t that.
