@tchambers@indieweb.social This is a worthwhile thought experiment. While many of us bemoan the current state of AI, and it is atrocious in many ways, there is no putting the genie back in the bottle. The mythic tale of Pandora’s Box is enduring because it transcends time and place. We can shout “No AI” until we’re hoarse, and it will change little. The key question is can we transform it into something more beneficial to humanity, and not the jumble of corporate dystopian nonsense it predominately is now?
