After the nvim-treesitter disaster I thought I'd give plain old vim a try again. I'm surprised that with https://github.com/yegappan/lsp , even LSP configuration is pleasant now. That, fzf, vim-surround, some filetype plugins and I'm almost as happy now as I used to be with a 800 line init.lua on NeoVim (shhh, don't mention modularization). It's not quite zero plugins, but as close to it as I'm feeling comfortable right now.
