@lumi@snug.moe @jdelacueva@mastodon.social @IvanSanchez@mastodon.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu @fruitchypear@owo.cafe @greatlaketrout@noc.social with all due respect - no. setting away the fact that not every user will be "educated" or even care and that they can cause problems for others because of that there is still the issue of genuine bad actors. stealing your digital government ID or banking credentials is quite motivating. and digital services are quite a bit easier to attack when anyone anywhere can give it a shot. to be clear, i am not saying that android is somehow more secure than lineageOS... but i understand the desire to verify integrity of the system before allowing access.
