I usually create a logical choreography, where one piece of information is revealed at a time. For example in the first slide I started with a picture of the unmodified microscope head, explaining the engineering problem (need to get our scanning beam in there). Then reveal the optics, followed by the measurement showing how well it integrates. And at last, the real thing.
