So today my mental health nurse and I sacked each other, how's your week going? (Captain, it's Tuesday.) No more funding after June 30 for her position anyway. And she decided I was "over serviced" since I see a psychiatrist, psychologist, and art therapist as well. The psychiatrist and psychologist I pay for privately. And the Art Therapy funding is always on a knife edge. I have multiple, long term, conditions that need these supports but don't qualify me for anything like NDIS - nor would I want to take away from the increasingly small amount of funding for those who need it. I don't think I'm over serviced. I think I'm feeling a bit shitty about getting dumped from a service which was never much use anyway, and "referred for future needs" onto a mythical "mental health hub" which still hasn't been built, funded, or guaranteed. Anyway, just a grumble. I'm better off than a lot of others. Got a roof over my head, even if I'm sharing it with the mice & rats for now!
