@janeishly@beige.part Europeans have a particular history of industrialized, systematic mass violence, don’t they? Maybe not the Swedes, but the current resurgence of white supremacist trans-Atlanticism is, and has always been, about race and shared racial identity between white North Americans and Western Europeans, not just culture or “way of life” per se … also a penchant for violence. Ironically, this civilizational hysteria now includes Slavs, Jews and others. Ie both #Hungary and #Israel evoke their role as gatekeepers.
