Omar Artan, named Africa's best referee last year, was denied entry to the USA. He would have been the first Somali to officiate World Cup matches. FIFA's reaction (as predictable): Well then he can't officiate any World Cup matches. We're powerless. not our fault. I looked for reactions by famous football players and couldn't find any.
