@shac@ioc.exchange This would be fine if I was the one telling users what it is and isn't for and attributing magic properties to C or C++. This is a response to people saying "C is special because it can access the hardware" and the cold hard truth is "it accesses it the same way literally everyone else does: with a linker script, some startup assembly, and agreed upon magic numeric pointer values blessed by your a combination of your compiler, ISA, and hardware vendors".
