@thamesynne@dragon.style @gsuberland@chaos.social @thephd@pony.social C excels in one specific area -- it's available on more platforms than anything else. That's only due to being the focus of effort for decades, not due to any special inherent quality -- in another timeline, we're all running derivatives of the UCSD Pascal P-Machine that JITs code at runtime.
