@MrNick2@mastodon.social Quick update: It's both an over extrusion problem and a z-offset problem. I can correct the rough layers problem with reduced flow ratio, but then my first layer is stringy. I don't know if I can reduce my z-offset to compensate for it, but I'm going to give it a whirl.
So I'm on my way to getting it solved!

@julie@merida.hair @MrNick2@mastodon.social Are the whole bed and support and extruder fully up to temperature before you z-calibrated? I spent a week fighting that in my old monoprice mini. The bed expanded with heat, and took a good 10min after the thermistor said it was at temp.
