I think maybe humanity just simply wasn't ready for technology. We should go back to flint and sticks.
Just one example: I've watched essentially the entire earth complain (rightfully so!) about receiving unsolicited dongs in their various messaging channels.
So everyone's favorite (lol) fruit-named tech company announces a dong detector. It blurs out images and warns you there may be unsolicited dong in your future. I would assume there is a function to even completely block the message without notifying you. Of course, that may lead to false-blockages of dongs you desired to see. No judgement here. Everyone should get to control their feed.
TO ME, this is a reasonable application of technology.
The response from the net (near as I can tell today?) is that this is a big brother dystopian hellscape.
Seriously, y'all. I'm not sure what the magic answer is supposed to be. How do you technically do this without a dong detector.
You can SAY "well. let's just block the evil people from sending anything." I hope that is inherently obviously a bad idea, due to who gets to define what senders are evil.
Maybe we should delete the internet and go back to penny-operated peep show machines.
