With everything flying around concerning age verification and the unconscionable privacy concerns over the past few days in particular, it's worth remembering that *nobody* should be punishing anyone else for the behavior they want to see. I've made my stances and frustrations quite clear, but even then, I'm not haranguing people for making changes now that I've already made or would have already made. Many self-identified progressives on Fedi are absolute dogshit at this, and it helps nobody and is at its core incredibly toxic. Don't fucking do it. Be positive, encouraging, welcoming, and a resource if necessary, *please*.
