@feditips@mstdn.social Link shorteners are used almost exclusively for tracking nowadays, so people who use them will continue using them.

@claus@chaos.social @feditips@mstdn.social I run a link shortener on my own server just to get shorter links. They look better in text on other platforms imo I do not track anything about the user clicking the link
