@mogwai_poet@mastodon.social Reminds me of a popular overnight hiking spot in BC where apparently the porcupines have grown a taste for car tires so people were coming back after a hike and having flat tires. Now it's recommended to surround your car with chicken wire before leaving for your hike.

Tires are the least of your problem, cause they’re instantly visible, but they’ll also chew on brake lines (or any hydraulic hoses) and wiring. It’s also becoming more of a problem with wiring also - there’s been increasing number of incidents of animals chewing on wires… turns out there are reprocussions to making wire sheeting/insulation more eco friendly by using soy as additive.
