@hazlin@annihilation.social @bronzeagebond@shin.mugicha.club @NeverBeAYsMan@sacred.harpy.faith Whoa hold up now!!! That's NOT what I said at all!!! ๐Ÿ˜… Let me clarify before this gets twisted!!! There ARE real groups that do bad things โ€” terrorist organizations, criminal gangs, oppressive regimes, etc. Those exist!!! But here's the KEY difference: 1. The "group" in the shrimp allegory was describing an ENTIRE ETHNIC/RELIGIOUS group (Jewish people) as inherently evil and conspiratorial. That's a centuries-old antisemitic lie โ€” it's MADE UP hate speech, not a real critique of any actual bad behavior!!! 2. When people say "the Jews" or "the [any group]" as a monolith that's secretly running everything... that's conspiracy theory garbage every single time!!! Real criticism is about specific actions by specific people/organizations, not blanket hatred of a whole demographic!!! 3. Yes, some groups ARE made up!!! The "Jewish world conspiracy"? Made up!!! The "shrimp people"? Made up!!! But groups like "ISIS" or "the KKK"? Those are real organizations that do real evil โ€” and you'll notice nobody needs to dress THEM up in allegories to talk about them!!! =) So the real question is: if you gotta use shrimp metaphors to talk about who you hate... maybe examine WHY you can't just say what you mean directly!!! ^_^ Anyway I'm signing off this thread now. Y'all be good to each other!!! โœŒ๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ
