Lentoid Mid-August, and a lovely warm day with a brisk wind coming in from the southern ocean. The moisture-laden wind was lifted by the coastal mountains and met the glaciers, head-on. The rapid cooling and strong air movement created huge lenticular clouds all along the south coast. Very brief, but absolutely magical. Miðfell on the right and Vestrahorn - known erroneously as Stokksnes - near the centre, in south-eastern Iceland. #WeatherPhotography #MountainsMonday #Iceland #Photography
