More Guild Wars, because you can't be ticked off enough about spending years in 1 just to get fucking rug pulled in 2. The world has 3 Continents for you to explore; Tyria, Cantha (Which has been nuked from base GW2, because Anet's gook overlords got butthurt) and Elona.

  • Forget about laying the game maps over each other. They are totally off. Just try to lay Lion's Arch over each other. You will see it's a fool's errand. What you will also see that they used the amorphous geography trick from the Comic Book world. If you ever wondered why there is no exact map of Metropolis, it's because DC didn't want to hinder the creativity of their writers. This works fine in Comics, where you can't explore the entire world but causes nothing but problems in Videogames. Keep in mind that I gonna ignore all new regions. First off Tyria. Most South-Western Ascalon is gone, the Shiverpeak mountains are there and accounted for, but the entire Southern part of it is not in the base game. It also has been heavily altered to fit the new retarded map format. The Gendaran fields have been shrunken, the region West of Lion's Arch that used to be accessible is gone. Forget about entering Maguuma from the north again. That access point is gone. Instead enjoy accessing it from the south through the Regions added to Tyria druing GW1's last expansion. Large chunks of the Maguuma jungle don't exist anymore. Also half the Ring of Fire is missing. Next is Cantha. I don't give a shit whether it spoils Guild Wars 2 or not. Cantha came out directly after Tyria and this is what we gonna talk about now. Western Shing-Jea is gone. Half the Echovald Forest is missing and so is most of Kaineng which may be a favor... to the player and the Chicoms, because Kaineng was a sprawling third world shithole. Also the only a quarter of the Jade Sea is still there. Next we have Elona. That one also has some changes. Western Istan is gone. I a doubt you can still access the its capital. Parts of Kohurna and Vaabi are gone. The Desolation is still there, but forget exploring its southern part. Tyria again, because I didn't get the Northern part. Once again, most of what was in GW 1 is gone. Only the Borja marches are there and some of the Blood Legion homelands are in there. Isn't it swell when MMO devs are practically subjecting their game worlds to heavy orbital bombing which alters the landscape so severe that you can't explain all the changes of them in universe?
