Lost my mind, built an ecosystem. Terrain generation is now geologically plausible, with seasonal meteorology and hydrologically plausible basins of water that result in oases with a greater density of plants. I like the look of the mountains in the distance.
The little gadget at lower right is a clock and calendar that shows where we are in the day/night cycle on the outer ring and where we are in the seasonal cycle on the inner one.

In case it isn't obvious, I find myself much more interested in generative systems and aesthetics than in quests and murder. But there will also be quests and murder, of course, to keep players interested…
