People who are good at this are good at it because expoaure to other people's code and mistakes over time teaches you to recognize tlsaid mistake and to be able to follow someone else's thought pattern to recognize imperfections in it (including stylistic ones). This is a whole different beast altogether. This is not a person's humanly imperfect reasoning or modeling. GenAI produces slop on a level and at a volume that goes beyond what 10 person tes could do. Once the industry sobers up the only solution will be to start from scratch. And I think that's also a fair price to pay for all this stupidity right now.
