Arcade versions of games tend to have better graphics and sound, as the hardware was more capable (and expensive) than home computers and consoles.
But that doesn't mean that home ports can't be better. It often depends on the criteria.
The Amiga port of "Volfied" (1991) may not look or sound as good as the arcade original, but it's very close and isn't out to get your money.

If you're a seasoned Amiga user, you probably know this already. But, if you're just starting out, it might be useful to know that... WHDLoad versions of Amiga games often modify the originals, and you might want to (at least) know what those modifications are. For example, in "Volfied" (1991) you might encounter the "trainer" difficulty and assume it's part of the original game.
