@phillyis@happytobehe.re yeah it’s genuinely pretty surprising that more than half the people on the hindenburg survived. The USS Akron, despite being helium filled, had a way worse fate

@timmy@goblin.camp i didn't even know flying aircraft carriers were a thing outside of fiction! Looks like that was mostly due to the navy not having life jackets?! since the Macon went down kinda the same way and only two people died?
