@appliedgo@c.im @emag@strangeplace.me I think @vwestlife@mastodon.social did a really good job of explaining radio's advantages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBCIA2UoVEg No power supply or internet or any other infrastructure required, no subscription. Even equipment from approx. 100 years ago is still compatible. Modern tech is really weak and fragile. It is a sign of failure that new services require people to buy new equipment. Radio is really durable, and it's still the only way to communicate with a mass audience in a disaster situation.
