My highly efficient book-decluttered came across a 1953 Readers Union edition of Rachel Carson's, The Sea Around us. Was this a chuck? Argh no! Forgot I possessed it.
It has a 2-page frontispiece (title in next page) titled, A Chart of the Gulf Stream with attribution to James Poulard.
There is very little on Poulard online, except brief biogs and a few other art works for sale.
An American colonial era engraver.
