@wariat@mastodon.social Why wouldn't an edit of a post you reply to be necessary?
If Blokey posts "Donno's dog is stupid," Donno replies "Why do you hate my dog?" and Blokey changes his first post to "Man, I love cats!" it changes the whole interaction without Donno knowing.
And I _really_ don't think a reading receipt's the most common use of a fave. Especially not when arguing with a non-mutual.

@Mabande@mastodon.social As I see this because it will generate bazylion of notification so I'm not sure if I want it :D Anyway, for quote IMO it is just way more important.
