@Gh0stlyM0use@mastodon.social Hundreds of thousands of mc patients in Australia, yet only around 600 events in three years so probably fewer people given some would have multiple events. So less than 0.1% chance of a patient experiencing these side effects, and most of the side effects occur in patients who were already experiencing them before mc. If you aren't one of those, your risk goes down even more. If you aren't on the strongest medicines targeted by this study, your risk goes down even more. Far, far more dangerous medicines get far less scrutiny and stigma.
