@djlink@mastodon.gamedev.place you do not have ADHD:
>the countertop is covered in roomie's dishes
>I'll just move em to the sink
>the sink is also full of dishes
>I'll do the dishes real quick
>the drying rack is also full
>I'll just wipe the dishes on the rack
>the cloth is already sopping damp
>ok I have to put this one in the washing machine and get a dry one (there are actually dry ones)
>but now the task is decomposed into too many steps, I need to take my meds or put on a podcast or I'm never not gonna quit halfways through
>ah shit, my blood sugar is low as fuck, meds gave me jitters
>maybe I should have eaten smth earlier instead of trying to send emails until I realized I got hungry
>but if I do all the chores first, then do the mail in the evening I'm out of juice and I can't take meds or I can't sleep

@mer@shrine.moe @djlink@mastodon.gamedev.place can you and your roommate agree on routine? There is this concept "close the kitchen" that helps with keeping the space tidy. I personally hate doing dishes but I'm trying to start the dishwasher before bedtime if it is full enough. At least there are no dirty dishes in the morning 💪
