"Men also suffer under patriarchy" An objectively true statement that still nearly always is obfuscation of the patriarchal power structure, since it nearly always doesn't follow it up with an explanation of how it is still a hierarchy of different levels of horror and suffering. Instead it then often follows with a "critique" of feminists that is so generalized that it becomes meaningless and doesn't even talk about feminism, but feminism as how it is percieved by the majority of people. And it is annoying to see this play out again and again. Another fracked statement in the same vein: "White people also suffer under white supremacy" followed with a generalized statement of being kind to each other, totally missing a materialist analysis of the current structure. #IsopodsPolitics
