McShitheads donated a large amount of money to the morons in the white house, I haven’t been there all year. They can shove the Mcrib up their collective asses sideways.

I tried exactly one and it wasn’t even bad, but there was literally nothing interesting about it.

We used to get something like the McRib regularly in school as a kid. When I had my first McRib is was so disappointed. Idk how people are into them

McRibs are the shit. I eat fifteen a day when it’s McRib season and it’s literally all I would eat if they served it year round. I want a McRib McGriddle or a McRib McMuffin just to complete the day because I can’t eat them from two am to eleven am as it stands.

Earlobe meat. Such a random description, but it makes complete sense.

I would 100% try earlobe meat.

The prevailing theory is that McDonald’s brings the McRib back whenever pork futures are down, because it maximizes profit. That is usually seasonal- in the early autumn, when grilling season is over.

@Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org 2025-12-05 01:30
In Germany you can get them year-round but I’ve never seen anyone actually eat one.

If i want McRib, i skip the middle man and just buy q bulk family-size tray/tub of frozen microwaveable riblets and go to fucking TOWN

The McRib is proof that enough barbecue sauce can make anything delicious. If you get a bite that isn’t swimming in sauce it’s much worse.

Man, I went to a mac Donald’s today since maybe years. Everything’s smaller and pricier! Why’d anyone eat there instead of a regular restaurant
-
@CannedYeet@lemmy.world 2025-12-05 02:36
The pickles onion and barbeque sauce are nicely balanced and crunchy though

These are places that distribute food as nutrition … they dispense edible product that momentarily provide a flavour sensation to your mouth and tongue.

McDonald’s is proof of the susceptibility of most people to propaganda. I don’t understand how anyone can still eat anything there. It’s not good, it’s overpriced, it makes you feel like shit, and you’re hungry again 2 hours later. The nostalgia factor is definitely real because once a year or so someone will suggest getting it and I’ll think, hey I used to like it, and then every single time it’s incredibly subpar food that usually isn’t even made well because the staff hates their life. Stop fucking buying McDonald’s, Jesus.

I actually love the mcrib. You can buy them from the store. This year imma try to make them in the air fryer and use some high quality sauce and see if I can make a better version.

Content not viewable in your region. Could you provide an alternate link? Or maybe use the image button to upload it to your instance so it’s out of the control of some corporation? (Imgur deleted a bunch of content for the crime of not having a paid subscription, and they geoblock my country because the data protection commission threatened them with a fine for selling children’s browsing history and they’d rather take it out on users than simply filter the accounts they auto-tagged as children out of the data they were selling. We left reddit for a reason. Imgur is no less moneygrabbing.)

I’ve only ever seen the McRib in shows like the Simpsons, i don’t think that was a thing over here back then. When i saw it on display i tried it, and it has to be one of the grossest things I’ve ever paid for. Like even for McDonald’s fastfood slop it was so rancid.

30 years ago the McRib was amazing. They used to take the pork patty and baste it in this stick sweet bbq glue sauce. When you ordered one, they'd fish one out of the basting dish with tongs and slap it into a dressed bun and serve it in a bag. You ate it in the bag because it was just so sloppy. These days they just dress the thing like a burger - patty on, squirt of BBQ sauce on top of the patty. There is hardly any mess to it and it's basically just a pork burger. The experience of eating it and the lack of sauce makes it feel so bland.

It's because McDonalds only brings it back right after there's been a steep decline in the price of pork. https://www.theawl.com/2011/11/a-conspiracy-of-hogs-the-mcrib-as-arbitrage/ "The blue line is the price of hogs in America over the last decade, and the black lines represent approximate times when McDonald’s has reintroduced the McRib, nationwide or taken it on an almost-nationwide “Farewell Tour” (McD’s has been promising to get rid of the product for years now).": This study was done 14 years ago, but I imagine it still holds true.

"Look, uh, about the Ribwich: there aren't going to be any more. The animal we made them from is now extinct." "The pig? The cow?" "You're way off--think smaller, think more legs."

Earlobe meat. I'm stealing that.

I haven't eaten out since the pandemic. I got used to making all my meals at home, and gosh, the food is better and cheaper. Convenience has a high price. I don't see the end game of continuing to raise prices and lower quality, while not paying us enough to survive, let alone thrive. I guess the stupid, greedy fucks are thinking it will just work out somehow? Maybe Chatbot told them it would all be fine. Fucking Tech Bro AI circlejerk will be the end of us all.

I actually quite like it. This might sound bad to some people, but it reminds me of an old vegetarian meat alternative I used to quite like in texture. Im constantly baffled by how gotten by propogandists people must be to feel everything has to taste exactly like some known quantity meat they're already used to.
