#mutantpen 1/ Charon The ship had been aptly named “Charon”, as it was taking us to a journey without return, exactly like the ferryman of Greek mythology; we were the rabble, the dregs of the Circular Kingdom’s prisons, sent to fight on the front; even our minds didn’t belong to us anymore; the microchips had been inserted but would only be activated in combat situation; the fucking activists who took care of our so-called wellbeing had won that concession from the bastards in government; the chips could still lobotomise the prisoners too stupid or unruly to keep quiet.
