@hilljam@mastodon.social I'm saying this as someone who was popular on Kitsu and am a mod and dev there. Often if I ended up DMing someone, they'd express that they didn't want to waste my time or felt like they weren't worth my time or smth because I was popular and they weren't. I haven't seen much of the opposite tho.
