@micahilbery@mstdn.social it's not about what the tech was made for, it's about the goals of the people who have resources to put into it.
It's not that there are not good use-cases for it. It's that capitalism is actively preventing them to happen.

@micahilbery@mstdn.social and open-source AI stuff aren't going to change that, I agree. Free/Open-source software was never meant to get rid of capitalism. It only makes sure that if *the people* ever decide to get rid of capitalism, the tools aren't stored away in a closed shed.
