@mmby@mastodon.social @micahilbery@mstdn.social Except that's not what most of that software is written for, any more than cryptographic primitives are designed for military use. It's just that the nature of those things also admits harmful use. That's very different than writing software whose whole purpose is to shove ads in people's faces, track them, bombard them with dark patterns, where there is no intended good use.
