After 30+ years in the fandom, I'm running into a problem. It kinds feels like I've played the entire game through from start to finish. And the end game content, the Level 100+ stuff, is becoming either incredibly tough, or completely unaffordable. I used to collect art but now I have boxes full of it and never look at it again. E621 has like 10000 posts per day. I've bought all the T-Shirts, prints, and all the community-affirming knicknacks, and I've grown mostly numb to it. Commissioning a new badge icon just doesn't spark much joy any more. I have two main furry related hobbies left that have displaced everything else in my life, and I'm at my limits to what I can achieve. And on the material side, the kind of merchandise, art and toys I would still like to have is completely unaffordable to me. ‪ I also really like the big cons a lot, cause that's the league I'm playing in. But I can't afford to travel to different continents multiple times a year. Local meets are nice, but increasingly out of my age group / friend bubble. So yeah, I'm in a bit of an identity crisis at the moment.
