I believe that I finally managed to track down the annoying element cache bug that is linked to editing plain lists. It has been reported a number of times, but it is hard to reproduce. Recently, Jason Terk has managed to record detailed logs of what is hapenning when the bug is trigerred, and I think the reason is related to successive edits coming between cache syncs. Now, if we confirm that https://cgit.git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/emacs/org-mode.git/commit/?id=7a134e7b216311f54ddb55e779d929454dd6d639 really works, it should hopefully eliminate one of the last cache bugs.
