The abarat series...( amazing clive barker books) The journey of the jerle shannara (is from the shannara series, but this is my fave trilogy) Tunnels series... (its YA, but a very well written series) Monster island, monster nation, monster world. (Yes they are zombie books, but with a great angle) Midnighters series (again its YA, by the writer of the "uglies" series...but much better)

@nounoursfaisdeschoses@mastodon.social If you haven't read them, Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy is amazing, and is frankly what I imagine Rowling was trying to do the entire time.
