@Gustodon@mas.to I read the entire Potter series (and watched all the movies) as a middle-aged adult as prep for a theater role, and wasn't crazy about them.

@funcrunch@me.dm @Gustodon@mas.to the books are ok... People kept gushing how she was such a great story teller...but shes not... To many people still base their entire existence on the books...and that always makes me want to say... There is so much more and so much better out there... And the worst thing them claiming "she invented magical schools" No...."books of magic, discworld, the little broomstick" All older...and...all much better. And with 0 "we lied" retcons

@funcrunch@me.dm @Gustodon@mas.to I liked the first two or three, but it started falling off there. Everything after the fifth book is complete garbage. I can't even remember them very well at this point.
