Bricked Big Black 1T running ATA Enhanced Secure Erase (purportedly approx. 3hrs 6mins) which is compatible with modern systems and hard drives >2T (I was informed upon said brickage that the process would now only take 1 mth 15d... Tempting...)
After several I/O messages (you never want to see these) I settled on blkdiscard -f -v and the blue LED blinken on Big Black 1T once more...!
