It's not clear to me why the service is stopped:
- legal reasons
- lack of update of cell data location
- too much work/cost to maintain the servers/API

They came to an agreement, but on condition that Mozilla no longer invests in the service, which has gone downhill over the years. Hosted in Europe by a European structure, there should be no problems 🤔
